The Sugar Land Police Department recommends City Council authorization for the execution of a contract with Sons of Liberty Gun Works in the amount of $249,325.00 for police rifles and accessories.
 
The purchase includes $237,325.00 for the replacement of the AR-15 patrol rifles currently issued to officers, which have reached their end-of-life totaling, and $12,000.00 for new AR-15 rifles for motorcycle officers that are adapted to be able to fit inside the saddlebags of a motorcycle. FY23 Police Department includes $249,325.00 of ARPA funds allocated to these two projects.
