| | | | | | | | | RECOMMENDED ACTION: | | The Police Department recommends that the City Council authorize the execution of the contract with GT Distributors, Inc. in the amount of $127,908.00 for the replacement of police pistols, red dot sights, and accessories. |

| | | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | The FY23 Police Department budget includes $127,908.00 of ARPA funds allocated to replace the pistols currently issued to officers who have reached their end-of-life. The law enforcement industry is moving to the newer version of the pistols that can accommodate the red dot sight system. Trade-in of old pistols is included in the contract and reduces the total amount. GT Distributors is one of the leading law enforcement supply companies and a preferred vendor for SLPD weapons and ammunition purchases. TX State Contract #680-A1 is used for pricing.
