| | | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 4 has provided contract security services for First Colony Community Services Association, Inc. (Sweetwater) for additional law enforcement services for several years. By law, any law enforcement agency providing extra/off-duty security for a subdivision must have an Agreement with the subdivision approved by the city/county governing body ("City") where the subdivision is located. Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 4 has submitted an agreement for approval by City Council, as required.
Sugar Land police department (SLPD) staff has reviewed the agreement for services to the Sweetwater subdivision. The Association bears the cost and expenses associated with the additional services. The Constables services will not affect SLPD procedure, operations, or law enforcement responsibility for the Sweetwater subdivision and will only provide additional security as desired by the Homeowners Association.
