INNOVATION IN VOLUNTEERISM |

| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDED ACTION: | Recognize Unite & Inspire for their volunteer work in the community and for winning the 39th annual Texas Governor's Award for Innovation in Volunteerism. |

| | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | Unite & Inspire is a youth-based organization that aims to help children, youth, and adults give back to their communities through volunteering and providing resources that can help others grow into strong and responsible citizens.
They have provided the Sugar Land community with over 100 hours of cleaning, educating, and bringing awareness to hygiene, and environmental factors contributing to the health and sustainability of a good ecosystem in our community.
They have cleaned Sugar Land Memorial Park, Oyster Creek Park, and Pecan Park on alternate Sundays for the past year with no breaks for the holiday season showing their dedication to their mission.
Unite & Inspire was recognized for their achievements through the Texas Governor's Award - Innovation in Volunteerism administered by the One Star Foundation. The award was presented by the First Lady of Texas Ms. Cecilia Abbott and given to Unite & Inspire founders Dr. Rajini Priya Ayilavarapu, Dr. Deborah Banerjee, and their youth leader. |
