| | | | | | | | | RECOMMENDED ACTION: | | Review and approve Ordinance No. 2321 modifying Chapter 3, Articles IV and IX of the Code of Ordinances pertaining to Nuisances and Landscaping Requirements. |

| | | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | On November 21, 2023, a workshop was held to review the process in which City staff assessed the 2021 International Code Council (ICC) and the 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC) codes in anticipation of a future adoption. During that presentation, staff from the Environmental & Neighborhood Services also presented several amendments to the Code of Ordinances necessary to ensure regulations align following the ICC adoption. The amendments identified in Ordinance 2321 will:
• Streamline the enforcement process for chronic nuisance violations
• Codify construction hours
• Resolve gaps in landscaping requirements
The Environmental & Neighborhood Services Department recommends the approval of Ordinance No. 2321.
