The Facilities Management Division of the Environmental and Neighborhood Services Department is charged with the operation and maintenance of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems at all City Facilities. The systems are maintained by staff as well as through scheduled preventative maintenance and on-call contracted services.
While the City’s HVAC systems undergo routine maintenance, ductwork can become inundated with dust particles. Based on the age of the buildings and recently observed dust discharges from the systems, the air ducts on the HVAC systems at City Hall, City Hall Annex and the Police Department require cleaning to remove any dust or other potential contaminants, improve airflow and reduce allergens/irritants.
On May 16 and 24, 2018, an Invitation to Bid (ITB) was advertised in the newspaper. The City received four (4) bids on May 29, 2018.
