| | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | The Facilities Management Division of the Environmental and Neighborhood Services Department is charged with the repair and maintenance of all municipal buildings.
During Hurricane Harvey, some city facilities experienced interior damages due to water penetration into the buildings. The interior repairs to the affected facilities include, but are not limited to, removal and replacement of dry wall, cove base, carpets, ceiling tiles and painting. A summary of the damage and needed repairs are included below:

On May 16 and 24, 2018, an Invitation to Bid (ITB) was advertised in the newspaper. The City received three (3) bids on May 29, 2018. The bid results are as indicated below:

CZS Developers, LLC was identified as the lowest qualified bidder with a bid of $46,329.00.
This is a FEMA reimbursable project. The Environmental and Neighborhood Services Department has worked with the Purchasing and Legal Departments to ensure the project meets all FEMA requirements for reimbursement, and recommends approval of a budget amendment in the amount of $41,696 to revenues and $46,329 to expenditures. While this project is reimbursable by FEMA, the cost share equates to a 90/10 allocation, with the FEMA reimbursement at 90 percent of the project cost and the City’s responsibility of the remaining 10 percent.
The Environmental and Neighborhood Services Department recommends approval of a contract with CZS Developers, LLC for Harvey-related interior repairs to city buildings in the amount of $46,329.00; and authorize a budget amendment in the amount of $41,696.00 to revenues and $46,329.00 to expenditures. |
