| | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | The irrigation system within the limits of the recently completed Williams Trace Reconstruction Phase I project was largely removed as a result of the new roadway realignment completed in 2017. This project will provide for the replacement of the irrigation system within the right of way along Williams Trace Boulevard from State Highway 6 to Austin Parkway.
The contract documents and specifications were completed in late 2018 and an Invitation to Bid (ITB) was advertised on January 9, and 16, 2019. Bids were opened on January 31, 2019 and three (3) bids were received for the project. The bid summary is below:

The responsible low bidder is Irrigation Solutions & Landscapes, LLC with a total bid of $276,569.25. There is currently $440,750.03 in the Williams Trace Reconstruction Project CIP ST1408 budget. Due to some unforeseen field conditions related to the irrigation system, staff recommends a portion of the remaining funds be used for contingency and construction phase services, with $50,000 of the remaining funds in CIP ST1408 to be returned to the general CIP fund balance.
The Notice to Proceed is planned to be issued in March 2019 and the contract time is 120 calendar days, with substantial completion expected in July 2019.
The Engineering and Public Works Departments recommend approval of a construction contract with Irrigation Solutions & Landscapes, LLC for the Williams Trace Irrigation Project, CIP ST1408 in the amount of $276,569.25, and reduce CIP ST1408 funding by $50,000 to the general CIP fund balance. |
