| | | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: |
In accordance with the City’s Program Year (PY) 2014 – 2018 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Consolidated Plan and the Street Evaluation and Pavement Management Study, one cul-de-sac within the Covington Woods subdivision (Barrowgate Dr.) was identified for concrete pavement and sidewalk removal/replacement in order to improve community mobility. This project was identified in the PY 2017 CDBG Annual Action Plan and approved by City Council on August 1, 2017.
On June 27 and July 4, 2018, the City published an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for CDBG-funded pavement and sidewalk improvements at the Barrowgate Drive cul-de-sac. On July 12, 2018, the City received and opened 6 bids. The bids received are below:

The current available funding for this project is $108,787.00 within the PY 2017 Community Development Block Grant.
Staff will be engaging with the three homeowners that will be directly impacted by the construction via face to face meetings. Also, staff will be working with Community Engagement to notify the HOA prior to construction.
The Public Works and Environmental and Neighborhood Services Departments recommend that the City Council award a construction contract to DVL Enterprises, LLC for the CDBG Project 2018-23 Covington Woods Street & Sidewalk Improvements in the amount of $87,275.00.
