On June 5, 2018, City Council approved Resolution 18-20 establishing guidelines and setting a date for individuals to submit redistricting proposals to be reviewed by City Council during the 2018 redistricting process.

Proposals submitted by individuals must be:

(a) In writing,

(b) Include the total population and voting age population for Non-Hispanic Whites, Non-Hispanic Blacks, Hispanic and other measurable minorities for each proposed City Council district,

(c) Inclusive of the entire City and reflect a deviation of less than 10% between the largest and smallest districts, and

(d) In conformance with the criteria established in Resolution 18-19.

The Council will receive any proposals or plan that a member of the public wishes to submit. If a plan is submitted, it should be handed to the City Secretary with no further presentation or other discussion.

Council will not consider or discuss any public proposals at this time. Any public proposals or plans will be discussed at a future workshop, along with the Redistricting Advisory Committee recommendation.
