Cooperative Agreements are with governmental purchasing organizations of which the City is a member. These agreements leverage the purchasing potential of governmental entities. All contracts are competitively bid, and contracts are awarded in compliance with state procurement laws and regulations.
Fleet Services purchases manufacturer original parts for Emergency Management vehicles in order to maintain vehicle quality and ensure their safe and reliable operation. Many of these parts are proprietary and cannot be obtained from any other sources.
Fleet maintenance and repair expenses are budgeted through the vehicle maintenance line item in the individual department operating budgets. Repair and maintenance expenses are charged out to the departments through the fleet management system.
