| | | | | | | | AGENDA CAPTION: | Consideration of and action on authorizing execution of year three, of a three-year agreement, with Azteca Systems, Inc., in the amount of $120,000.00, for a license and maintenance agreement for Cityworks software updates and support. |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDED ACTION: | Authorize the approval of year three of the CityWorks License and Maintenance Agreement between Azteca Systems, Inc. and the City of Sugar Land in the amount of $120,000. |
| | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | The City of Sugar Land currently utilizes Cityworks, an Azteca Systems, Inc. product, as our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Cityworks software is currently in use at the Surface Water Treatment Plant, Public Works/Utilities, and Environmental and Neighborhood Services - Code Enforcement. In addition, it is now deployed for the Parks and Recreation and Airport Departments. This software is a GIS-centric public asset management solution that handles service requests, work orders, preventative maintenance schedules and projects. The software allows the City to generate reports on City assets and their associated attributes such as type, condition, installation date, etc. The relationship between assets and work orders is tracked and maintained so that a history of completed work orders against a specific asset is viewable and easily retrieved.
In 2016, a Premium Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) was purchased which entitles the City to an Enterprise License, to receive regular software enhancements/maintenance, current user and system documentation, and 24/7 support. FY18 was the second year of the one-year extensions and this action will be to extend for an additional year, which is the third and final renewal.
Funding for this agreement is within the Public Works and Information Technology Operating and Maintenance budgets.
Staff recommends the City Council authorize the approval of year three of the Cityworks License and Maintenance Agreement between Azteca Systems, Inc. and the City of Sugar Land in the amount of $120,000.00 for software enhancements/maintenance, current user and system documentation.
