Consideration of and action on authorizing the execution of a Purchase from Laerdal Medical Corporation, in the amount of $51,022.36, for laerdal training manikins and accessories for the EMS Training Facility, CIP MU1902.

CIP Project MU1902 in the amount of $240,000 was developed for bunker gear replacement and to purchase training aids and manikins for the EMS Training Facility.  

An Invitation to Bid (ITB 2019-22) was advertised on May 29 and June 5, 2019; and bids were opened on June 13, 2019. Three bids were received, with one bid deemed non-responsive due to incomplete pricing.

Laerdal Medical Corporation was the apparent low bidder. The package includes one SimMan ALS LiveShock Adult Manikin, one MegaCode Kid Manikin, and associated accessories, warranties, and licenses.  

The purchase of these training items will enhance the skills of current staff so they can continue to provide first rate EMS service to our citizens.
