The City Council received the Commission's report at a workshop on April 2, 2019.
On June 25th, there was a joint meeting between the City Council and the CRC to discuss the Commission’s recommendations. The City Council supported all recommendations except for the recommendation to reduce the number of consecutive terms and the recommendation to generalize the dates of council meetings.
Staff returned to the City Council on July 23rd with a workshop to review proposition language and timing for placement on a future ballot. At that workshop, the City Council directed staff to prepare for placement of propositions on the May 2020 ballot.
At this workshop, staff seeks consensus from the City Council on which propositions to add to the May 2020 ballot.
