Consideration of and action on authorization of a Contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc., in the amount of $283,345.00 through Houston-Galveston Area Council Contract No. RA05-18, for the purchase of eighty-nine (89) portable and mobile police radios. 
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve High Tech Replacement Purchase of seventy-two (72) police portable and seventeen (17) mobile radios from Motorola Solutions, Inc., via H-GAC Contract #RA05-18, in the amount of $283,345.00.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The Sugar Land Police Department provides oversight of the high-tech replacement budget for all portable and mobile radios.  The FY21 Sugar Land Police Department High Tech Replacement Fund includes funds allocated towards the purchase of seventy-two (72) police portable radios and seventeen (17) mobile radios due for high-tech replacement as scheduled.

 

Motorola Solutions, Inc. is the preferred vendor for all portable and mobile technology within the City of Sugar Land.  The total cost of the portable, mobile radios and accessories is $283,345.00.  Pricing, term and conditions for this purchase are supported by the HGAC Cooperative Purchasing Agreement, #RA05-18.

 

The Police Department recommends that the City Council approve the purchase of seventy-two (72) police portable and seventeen (17) mobile radios from Motorola Solutions, Inc., via H-GAC Contract #RA05-18 in the amount of $283,345.00.
