Sterling Staffing Solutions, a health care staffing agency and minority-owned business, just took home its fifth recognition for excellence this year alone. Media coverage of the awards and twin brothers, CEO Stephen Carter and COO Sterling Carter, have reached an audience of more than 42 million through local and national publications.

Sterling Staffing Solutions provides an economic boost to the Houston community by employing hundreds of local citizens. It gives scholarships to local high school students and internships to local college students. It hires new college graduates and gives them invaluable entry-level experience making them more competitive, in an increasingly challenging new graduate work environment. Sterling Staffing Solutions has provided mentorship to future business owners via partnerships with organizations. The brothers have personally served and supported more than a dozen community-based organizations during the past five years.

Founded in 2011, Sterling Staffing Solutions has grown to more than 800 licensed clinicians Texas and Oklahoma who have completed over 4,567 rehabilitative visits in disciplines from occupational therapy to laboratory technicians and medical specialists. Its headquarters are in Sugar Land.
Awards this year alone are as follows:

• The Greater Houston Black Chamber’s 23rd Annual Pinnacle Award this October. It honors African-American entrepreneurs who have succeeded in business and positively impacted the communities and industries they serve.
• Inc. 5000 List for the second consecutive year – a rare achievement that only one-in-three make as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies. Sterling Staffing Solutions earned the position of #1905 in August and joins past winners including Pandora, 7 Eleven, Toys 'R' Us, Zipcar and Zappos.com. The Inc. 5000 ranks companies according to the percentage growth of their annual revenue over a three-year period.
• 15th Annual American Business Awards Gold Stevie Award winner in the category of Minority Owned Business in August. Past Stevie Award winners include Apple, Ford Motor Company, ING, Procter & Gamble and Samsung. The Stevie Award trophy is one of the world's most coveted prizes and has been conferred for achievement in business to organizations and individuals in more than 60 nations to generate public awareness of excellence in the workplace worldwide.
