The Streets and Drainage Division of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of the storm sewer system within the City Limits. This includes all inlets, catch basins, storm manholes, pipes, and outfalls. This maintenance includes routine inspection, cleaning, and replacement.
On December 12, 2017, the City annexed Greatwood. As part of annexation, the City will begin maintenance of the drainage outfalls. The City will require access, either across or on, Greatwood Community Association property. This agreement authorizes the City to access the property to provide maintenance to the drainage outfalls.
This agreement is for an initial 10 years and will continue to renew every five years unless terminated by either party.
Staff recommends the approval of the agreement between the City of Sugar Land and Greatwood Community Association for access to drainage outfalls for maintenance purposes.
