| | | | | | | | | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: | Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) in 1951, National Engineers Week (EWeek) has been set aside to recognize the remarkable men and women of this profession. EWeek is a time to celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world, to increase public dialogue about the need for engineers, and to bring engineering to life for kids, educators, and parents. EWeek is dedicated to raising public awareness of the positive contribution to quality of life by all engineers.
The City currently has approximately 11 Texas licensed professional engineers along with several engineers-in-training (EIT's). These engineers carry out the daily activities related to design, operations and construction of the City's infrastructure that keep our community running and uphold the Engineering Practice Act in order to protect the publics health, safety and welfare. EWeek in 2018 is from February 18th to 24th. |
