The purpose of the workshop is to provide City Council with a presentation on web-based CIP Story Map that is used externally by residents and internally by staff to receive information on current, on-going Capital Improvement Projects (CIP).
The CIP Story Map was created in 2015 in an effort to provide residents with relative, up to date information regarding current CIP projects. The CIP Story Map is a very user-friendly, Esri web-based software that the Engineering and I.T. Departments collaborated efforts on the development. Since its inception in 2015, the Departments have been working together, along with the Communications Department, to update the program to make it even more user-friendly, and provide additional information on the project that was not there during the initial rollout of the site.
The Engineering and I.T. Departments will provide City Council with an overview of the web-based site, show how it interfaces with the CIP Quarterly Update managing tool and showcase the sites information.
